I wanted to paint a new design reminiscent of my 1992 design, Family Gathering. I was trying to find the perfect place to paint in Adams County, but I couldn't settle on just one location. Instead I combined my favorite parts of what makes the holidays special and memorable.
In this painting I included a cozy house and beautiful rustic barn. I envisioned a holiday reunion with a sleigh ride through the orchards, ice skating on the pond, kids building a snowman and warming up by the fire. Can you spot the fox?!
