A visit to the George Spangler Farm and Field Hospital in Gettysburg, Pa inspired this design...Such a beautiful stone house, outbuildings, and barn in a lovely setting back a long farm lane...I, so, enjoyed visiting with the reenactors and volunteers who were so friendly sharing the stories of the farm's place in the history of the Battle of Gettysburg...totally inspired me! I imagined the family perhaps before the war ...gathering their Christmas tree from the nearby woods...
